Smart Home Security System
Dragúň, Peter ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the security of flats and houses using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The aim of the thesis is to develop an electronic security system for access and intrusion control exploiting the possibilities of Bluetooth Low Energy technology for improved user experience. The thesis describes security systems, BLE technology and ESP32 microcontroller. The creation of a mobile application that is used to set up the system and its management is included, as well. The thesis also describes the design, construction of a prototype and its implementation. The last part is the verification of functionality, testing and suggestions of possibilities for further improvement of the created prototype.
Access System Controller Supporting More Types of Identification
Havlíček, Lukáš ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of access system control unit supporting more types of identification. Designed system supports identification using access cards MIFARE and detection of Bluetooth Low Energy devices. Device is realised using the ESP32 development board. The display of passage history and system configuration is solved using a web interface, which is provided by a web server running on this device.
Sensing Device based on Windows 10 IoT Core
Vaľuš, Dávid ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on installation of system Windows 10 IoT Core on microcomputer Raspberry Pi 2 and creating AllJoyn application for measuring temperature, humidity and brightness via bluetooth interface. In theoretics part technologies like M2M (Machine To Machine) and IoT (Internet of Things) are described, actuall trends and the future and AllJoyn platform. There is also a comparsion of operating systems available for Raspberry Pi 2. Practical part focuses on the installation of system Windows 10 IoT Core on Raspberry Pi 2 board. It also deals with verification of the functionality of the system via testing aplication for temperature measurement via SPI interface and bluetooth. In practical part we joined the AllJoyn network and via this network we shared data from a Bluetooth sensor.
Bluetooth Low Energy Voting Device
Vybíral, Tomáš ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of embedded voting device and application for voting. The proposed voting device uses Bluetooth Low-Energy protocol which helps to achieve low energy consumption. The result of this thesis is a fully functional prototype. UI application was created using the Qt framework and is responsible for handling wireless connections, processing of individual voices and displaying the voting results.
Detection of Security Incidents in Bluetooth Networks
Bárteček, Bronislav ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to detect security incidents in Bluetooth Low Energy(BLE) networks. It was necessary to create a tool that would detect security issues in devices and monitor the activity of devices that communicate using BLE. Ubertooth was used in the solution to sniff BLE communication. Ubertooth is used to capture BLE packets, which are then decoded by the created program and analyzed. The created tool determines the device security rate from these data. At the same time, it monitors network activity and, if necessary, informs the user of unwanted device activities, such as connecting foreign devices to user devices.
Anomaly Detection in IoT Networks
Halaj, Jozef ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was an analysis of IoT communication protocols, their vulnerabilities and the creation of a suitable anomaly detector. It must be possible to run the detector on routers with the OpenWRT system. To create the final solution, it was necessary to analyze the communication protocols BLE and Z-Wave with a focus on their security and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, it was necessary to analyze the possibilities of anomaly detection, design and implement the detection system. The result is a modular detection system based on the NEMEA framework. The detection system is able to detect re-pairing of BLE devices representing a potential pairing attack. The system allows interception of Z-Wave communication using SDR, detection of Z-Wave network scanning and several attacks on network routing. The system extends the existing detector over IoT statistical data with more detailed statistics with a broader view of the network. The original solution had only Z-Wave statistics with a limited view of the network obtained from the Z-Wave controller. The modular solution of the system provides deployment flexibility and easy system scalability. The functionality of the solution was verified by experiments and a set of automated tests. The system was also successfully tested on a router with OpenWRT and in the real world enviroment. The results of the thesis were used within the SIoT project.
Device localization using BLE packets
Tsevelnyam, Amgalanbayar ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis is about indoor localization of objects or persons using Bluetooth Low Energy. The outcome of this work is determining the accuracy of a localization method One Nearest Zone on density of the localization network, implementing the Trilateration method and also determining the accuracy of this localization method on density of the localization network.
Localization of People in the Building
Randýsek, Vojtěch ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Sakin, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a personal indoor positioning system. In this work, new systembasedonaBluetoothtechnologyisproposed.Personlocalizationisaccomplishedby usingthefingerprintingmethod.Proposedsystemconsistsofadatabase, awebapplication, a hardware layer and communication services. For the purpose of demonstration of the proposed system a video was made. System in the video, using propsed methods, gained standard accuracy of 2.46 m and standard deviation of 2 m. These results show that the combination of used technology leads to a succesful localization of people in buildings.
Authentication using a device with OS Android
Smíšek, Martin ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the basics of cryptography including symmetric and asymmetric cryptography. It also looks into methods of authentication, using knowledge of some information, having any object and user specific proportions. The thesis engage in description of modern technologies NFC and BLE and shows, how to develop applications, working with them. It deals with the way of storing data used for cryptography, in the safe way. The access system created in the scope of this thesis, which is using Android powered device as an authentication object and communicating over NFC is described. The system can be divided into two parts. The first part works on the device powered by Android. It creates, resets and saves secret data safely and communicate with the other part. The second part is working in a terminal with connected RFID/NFC card reader. The task of this part is to communicate with the part on the Android device, attached to the reader and saving data of users and chambers centrally on the web server. It also creates logs in the form of text files and upload it to the FTP server.
Group Completeness Monitoring via Bluetooth
Hodulík, Hynek ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create smartphone application for Android operating system. This application will serve to create and then monitor a group of people during an activity like cycling or hiking. The main purpose of the application is to inform others when a member separates from the rest of the group. Devices communicate through Bluetooth Low Energy and form a network with mesh topology. The application is implemented in Java programming language.
